Apparently, Theo is still on furlough but he will be returning to Camp Logan where the 33rd Division will prepare to depart for Europe.  Meanwhile, here is a photo of Theo, far right, and some of his comrades.

I was born on February 22, 1882 in Springfield, Illinois to Swedish Immigrants. I have an eighth grade education but I love to read. I enlisted in the Illinois National Guard in April 1917. The Guard was Federalized in August 1917 as the 33rd Division. While in France serving in the AEF I wrote many letters to my mother and my sisters, Anna and Mabel,
